No. PAMK is local-first by design. All memory data is stored in SQLite databases on your machine (or your chosen PostgreSQL server). Only license validation calls are made to our servers — no memory data is ever transmitted.

Pro features (semantic search, SM-2 resurfacing, belief drift, etc.) will be disabled. Your data is never deleted or locked — you can still access all stored memory through Community features (state memory, episodic memory, BM25 search). Renew your license to re-enable Pro features.

Yes. PAMK is a Python library first. You can use it directly via the MemoryKit class: from pamk import MemoryKit. The MCP server is just one way to interact with it.

PAMK includes a delete_user tool that performs a hard delete of all user data. Since data is stored locally on your infrastructure, you maintain full control over data retention and deletion. The PII redaction feature (Pro) can also automatically scrub sensitive data during consolidation.

PAMK caches license validation results locally for 24 hours. If the license server is unreachable, your Pro features will continue working for up to 7 days (offline grace period). After that, PAMK falls back to Community features until connectivity is restored.
